CAROLINA IN MY MIND, PT. II

Thursday, after bonding with my grandparents and parents via water aerobics (so good I had to do it again), I finally got the chance to go into downtown Highlands. Dad and I arrived a little too late, so a lot of stores were closed. No luck finding anything except for some frozen yogurt.
Mountains make the ordinary look extraordinary.

On Friday my parents and I spent about 2 hours in the small town of Brevard. I really love small towns; it's nice to see that some Mom & Pop shops are still alive and well, and I appreciate the desire that the stores have to feature local artists. One summer I'd like to take a road trip to the small towns of America.
Favorite piece of art.
Pro-Vegetarianism art work.
So many wonderful things at the Eclectic Cottage

Our final day included a craft show on the property of where we were staying and Indian food made by my grandmother in honor of my Vegetarianism. Craft shows are awesome (as well as Indian food).
To satisfy her love for pigs, Mom bought a pig shaped piece.
Our pal Shamrock from the Human Society was there!
I need a rug for my room in Chicago and very much regret not browsing this booth.

Thus ended another glorious week in North Carolina.
